Alexander Salby claimed victory in the sprint finish of Stage 5 at the 2026 Tour of Hainan, while Guillermo Thomas Silva successfully defended the yellow jersey to secure overall victory in the General Classification. The final stage from Baoting to Sanya concluded a week of racing across Hainan Island, with all classification jerseys decided.

Guillermo Thomas Silva (XDS Astana Team) claimed his second stage victory of the race on Stage 4 of the Li Auto Cup 2026 Tour of Hainan, attacking decisively on the final climb to Qixianling. With the uphill finish proving decisive, Silva rode clear in the final 500 metres to reclaim the yellow jersey and move back into the lead of the General Classification. Thomas Pesenti finished second on the stage, with Alessandro Fancellu third.
