The 2024 Gree-Tour of Guangxi will be grandly held in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from October 15 to 20. This year's race route is completely revamped compared to previous years, promising an unprecedented experience for riders and spectators alike. The 2024 Gree- Tour of Guangxi will feature 6 stages, with a total race distance of 1021.8 kilometers. The course is diverse, including flat circuits, hilly loops, and summit finishes, significantly increasing the challenge and spectacle of the race.
Stage 1: Fangchenggang City Circuit
On October 15, the race will kick off in the city of Fangchenggang. The course is 149.4 kilometers long, with riders needing to complete 4 laps, featuring 2 sprints. This stage will showcase the urban landscape and coastal scenery of Fangchenggang, serving as a warm-up for the event.
Stage 2: Chongzuo to Jingxi
On October 16, the riders will depart from Chongzuo Jiuniu Climbing Square and finish at Jinxiu Ancient Town in Jingxi, covering a race distance of 181.5 kilometers. This stage includes 2 intermediate sprints and 2 climbing points, making it a challenging mountain stage.
Stage 3: Jingxi to Bama
On October 17, the race will start from Jinxiu Ancient Town in Jingxi, covering a long distance of 214 kilometers, and finally reach the Shouxiang Cultural Square in Bama County. This is the longest stage of this race, with 2 intermediate sprints and 3 climbing points.
Stage 4: Bama to Jinchengjiang
On October 18, the riders will depart from the Shouxiang Cultural Square in Bama, racing 176.8 kilometers to reach the Hechi Gymnasium in the Jinchengjiang District of Hechi. This stage includes 2 sprints and 4 climbing points, making it the stage with the most climbing points and ideal for climbers.
Stage 5: Yizhou to Nongla Scenic Area
On October 19, the race will start from the Central Square in Yizhou District, Hechi, covering a distance of 165.8 kilometers, and finally reaching the Nongla Scenic Area in Mashan County, Nanning. This stage, known as the "Queen Stage," includes 2 sprints and 2 climbing points, with the final 3 kilometers featuring an elevation gain of 394 meters, posing a great test of riders' endurance and skills.
Stage 6: Nanning City Circuit
On October 20, the event will culminate with the final showdown in Nanning. The course starts at the Guangxi Cultural and Art Center, circling the Yong River and Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area for 5 laps, with each lap being 27.3 kilometers, totaling 134.3 kilometers, featuring 2 sprints and 3 climbing points. This stage is identical to the 2023 route and will provide a fitting conclusion to the event.
