Exciting Tour of Taihu Lake Awaits You!


The 2024 Tour of Taihu Lake will be held in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces from October 9 to 13.

The 2024 12th Tour of Taihu Lake International Road Cycling Race and Yangtze River Delta Crossing Race, sponsored by Jiangsu Bank, will be grandly held in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces from October 9 to 13. This year's race is classified as UCI 2.Pro, with a total distance of approximately 529.5 kilometers, divided into five stages including Wuxi, Qidong, Suzhou Wujiang, Huzhou Changxing, and Nanjing Jiangning. Each stage is not only filled with technical challenges but also offers a cultural and culinary feast, showcasing the unique charm of the water towns in Jiangnan.

First Stage: Wuxi


Wuxi, a dazzling pearl embedded on the shore of Taihu Lake, has long been a representative of the Jiangnan water towns. This year's first stage will be held on October 9 on the Ma Shan Island circuit in Binhu, Wuxi, with a total length of 103 kilometers. The starting point is set at the intersection of Meiliang Road and Shilimingzhu Dyke, passing through scenic spots such as Linghu Road and Qilifengguang Dyke.


During the race, riders will not only challenge their physical limits but also pass by several famous scenic spots in Wuxi, including the majestic Lingshan Grand Buddha and the Zen-like Nianhua Bay. The local delicacies such as Wuxi soup dumplings and Taihu Lake's "Three Whites" are not to be missed, and it is essential to indulge in them after the race.

Second Stage: Qidong


On October 10, the second stage will take place in Qidong, Nantong, with a total length of 78.6 kilometers, unfolding along the beautiful coastline. The starting point is set at the Qiantangjiang Road Sports and Cultural Center, passing through iconic locations such as Jianghainan Road, Fisherman's Wharf, and the coastal dyke.

Qidong is not only economically prosperous but also rich in cultural heritage. Fresh seafood from Lüsi Fishing Port and delicacies like clam pie will surely satisfy your taste buds. Racing along the golden beach and feeling the grandeur and tranquility of the sea is a rare opportunity for physical and mental relaxation.

Third Stage: Wujiang


On October 11, the race will move to Suzhou Wujiang, with a total length of 116.8 kilometers. The starting point is set at the intersection of Huajing Street and East Taihu Avenue, passing through Taihu Dyke, Suzhou Bay Grand Theatre, and Tongli Ancient Town.


Wujiang is renowned as the "Hometown of Silk" with rich historical and cultural heritage. The ancient charm of Tongli Ancient Town and Zhenze Ancient Town will transport you back in time. Local delicacies such as scholars' hoof and sock bottom pastry will provide an ultimate taste experience during your ride.

Fourth Stage: Huzhou Changxing


The fourth stage will be held on October 12 in Huzhou Changxing, with a total length of 117 kilometers. The starting point is set at the Changxing County Government Square, passing through Xianshan Lake National Wetland Park, the Palace of Emperor Chen Wu, and Nanxun Ancient Town.


Huzhou not only has picturesque landscapes but also a variety of delicious foods. Dried noodles, fried silverfish with eggs, and Huzhou rice dumplings will allow you to enjoy the culinary delights of Huzhou after the race. The leisurely ancient style of Nanxun Ancient Town and Mogan Mountain will leave you lingering.

Fifth Stage: Nanjing Jiangning


On October 13, the race will culminate in the final stage in Nanjing Jiangning, with a total length of 114.09 kilometers. The starting point is set at the Bei'anmen Tourist Service Center, passing through Jiangsu Garden Expo Park, Niushou Mountain, and Shitang Bamboo Sea.


Nanjing Jiangning boasts beautiful natural scenery and rich cultural heritage. Local specialties such as Jiangning stuffed chicken and Dongshan old goose will ensure you enjoy a sumptuous feast after the race. The picturesque scenery of Jiangsu Garden Expo Park and Niushou Mountain adds endless charm to the race.
