(By Cassie Lyu, 7Cycling, Dongying) June 14, 2025 – The two-day "Lucky Shandong" 2025 Yellow River Estuary (Dongying) Road Cycling Race will take place in Lijin County and Longju Town, Dongying District, Shandong Province, on June 14th and 15th.

This year marks a significant milestone as the event has been elevated to UCI Men Elite 2.2 status, joining the ranks of "Category B International Events in China," thereby enhancing its scale and influence.

Dongying, the host city, lies in northern Shandong on the coast of the Bohai Sea. With a total area of 8,257 km² and a population of 2.208 million, it administers three districts (Dongying, Hekou, Kenli) and two counties (Guangrao, Lijin). Dongying is a uniquely captivating city where:
The mighty Yellow River meets the sea,
The Shengli Oilfield emerged,
The ancient military strategist Sun Wu was born,
The traditional Lvju opera originated,
Vast wetlands thrive.

First held in 2016, the Yellow River Estuary (Dongying) Road Cycling Race enters its 9th edition this year. The professional race comprises two stages:
Stage 1 (Lijin): 138.7 km
Stage 2 (Dongying District, Longju): 137.8 km
